Match-Breaker Format

In the Match-Breaker format, each team consists of 2 men and 2 women. Both teams will select their 2 men and 2 women and list them in the following order:

  • Woman 1 vs. Woman 1
  • Man 1 vs. Man 1

This lineup must be presented to the opposing team at the same time. Once submitted, the order cannot be changed.

  • Rally scoring: The first team to reach 21 points wins.
  • Teams switch sides: when one team reaches 11 points.
  • At 20 points, the leading team’s score is locked in; they can only win while serving. The opposing team can continue to score.
  • If the score is tied at 20-20, the winning point (21) must be scored on the serve.
