The HKPL aims to create a well-structured platform for pickleball enthusiasts to connect through weekly friendly matches, elevating Hong Kong's pickleball competitive scene and establishing the city as a key hub in the global pickleball community.
This initiative goes beyond mere competition – HKPL seeks to unite all of Hong Kong’s amateur club teams to bring the pickleball community closer together to foster new friendships and collaborations between different sporting organizations.

Games are played to 11 points with regular scoring; a team must win by 2 points. At 13-all, the next point wins. Teams switch sides at 6 points. Each game won earns 1 point. In the event of a 2-2 tie, a “Match-Breaker” singles match will take place.
In the Match-Breaker format, each team consists of 2 men and 2 women. Both teams will select their 2 men and 2 women and list them in the following order:
This lineup must be presented to the opposing team at the same time. Once submitted, the order cannot be changed.
During the matches, each pair will play against each other in rounds of 5 points at a time. After every 5 points, players will rotate off for the next pairing, continuing until one team reaches a cumulative total of 21 points to win.
